Birds Everywhere!
My sweet little Bird sure does make his presence known! I now know why I have so many birds come visit me on my balcony - I have a bird nest on my light! How sweet is that!? I love it so much and find great comfort that my Bird is always with me.
Still Recovering
Last Saturday, the Gomelsky family joined the Davidovich Family for an epic Russian night out at Romanov's in Studio City and I am still recovering! We have been planning this night with our friend Mark to introduce our parents for months and months and it finally happened! The table was filled with potatoes, meats, caviar and pickled things. There was extreme dancing, extreme entertainment (with acrobatics no less!) and of course, the vodka was flowing very, very, freely! Oh what a night!
And so it begins...

Salut!
Heidi Carey Jewelry
I had a meeting this week with my client, Heidi Carey, that I did design work for and it I got a chance to see and try on so many of her beautiful necklaces! I especially love this new piece, bone and ivory necklace with horsehair tassel!

My Gomelsky
I finally got my Gomelsky! This watch was originally a smaller, square faced model but Shinola was having production issues with it, so it was no longer available. This new, larger malachite face is the updated model and I love it more than the first one. A beautiful gift from my sister, Victoria (who the watch was named after) , I wear it with pride!

New Morning Routine
I took a nice long walk to the marina this morning and I think this will become my new morning routine! It look me about 45 minutes and I walked all the way around, checking out all the boats from every angle. I just love my new home and all the places I can walk to!
Long Walk to the Beach!
I am so happy that I can still walk to the beach! It's a long walk - 3 miles there and 3 miles back, but I can do it! I had a nice stroll this morning and took in all the sights of my new neighborhood. I just love it all so much. So many cute shops, eateries and bars. There's an oyster/champagne brunch right around the corner, a sweet little ice cream shop, a wine bar with happy hour on Wednesdays, an outdoor BBQ spot and so much more. I just can't get enough of all the new-ness!
The Parents Come to Visit
I just moved into my new place in Mar Vista and my parents came to visit, with my dad in Full Gomelsky Action no less! They loved the place!

Mar Vista, Here I come!
I am soooo excited to be moving to Mar Vista next week! I found the perfect place, that is sunny and spacious with high ceilings, central air and heat, large bathroom, huge walk-in closet, washer/dryer in unit with brand new appliances and a large balcony!
I know I will be even more inspired, creative, peaceful and happy in my new digs. I'm over the moon excited and just bursting with joy!
Stay tuned for more pics and get ready for an explosion of dreamy items!
Escape to Ojai
Day trip to Ojai with my friend, Marie. Her father recently passed away and she's been feeling lost, so I thought a trip to Ojai would help her soul. She's never been before and I find Ojai so magical and healing. She loved it and can't wait to go back! We lunched, shopped, meditated and of course, wine tasted! Just what the soul needs - some sun, friendship and wine!
Meditation Mount
Santa Monica
I am moving at the end of this month, out of Santa Monica. I'm not sure where yet.. I want to stay on the westside but maybe I'll do some traveling around before settling down. I've been living in Santa Monica for 14 years now, and in my current place for 7.5 years, so it's definitely time for a change! I'm looking forward to the next phase in my life with a new home! In the meantime, I'm fully enjoying the beach and the close proximity I have to it!
Lingam Stone
My friend Michele from M3Collections just came by and gave me this beautiful (and slightly naughty) stone called lingam. It's an egg-shaped stone made of Jasper and symbolizes the Hindu god Shiva's union with the consort Kali. It activates the sacral chakras and controls kundalini energy (which I practice regularly).
Charoite Earrings
I bought these beautiful charoite stones from the Tucson Gem Show, knowing I'd make them into earrings. It was so easy, I will do that with more stones! I just love the intense purple color and can't to wear them.
Stocked up on Gemstones!
I just got back from Tucson and boy, what a show! I got so many awesome gemstones, including Flourite, Chrysoprasse, Amazonite, a big box of rose quartz, a bag of crystal quartz and so much more! I can't wait to see how my dreamcatchers will evolve. Stay tuned!
Tucson Bound
It's that time of year again! I go to Tucson every year to join my sister for the JCK and all other gem shows. I'm going to stock up on new stones and crystals for my dreamcatchers. I have a new idea and looking for cut agate to create a special set of dreamcatchers. Stay tuned for photos!
Here is a big amethyst stone I picked up last year. It sits on my nightstand in my room.
Women's March, Downtown LA
Yesterday, my sister and a group of friends were a part of the Women's March, Los Angles. We march for not only women's rights, but human rights, dignity, equality and democracy everywhere. Basically, shit we shouldn't even have to protest but given the new presidency, we have to. There were and estimated 750K people marching in LA - the largest protest in LA history and the largest group nationwide (with Washington D.C at 200,000, New York at 500,000). I was so proud be a part of the movement and was overwhelmed by the compassion and kindness of people. From the beginning on the metro train, every stop we made, the crowd would cheer and welcome everyone on. Even though were very cramped and where I didn't we could make any more room for the new people boarding, somehow we did. And everyone had a smile on their face! It was truly a remarkable day in history, peaceful everywhere, and one I will never forget.
Back to Kundalini Yoga
January has been a month of health and wellness for me. I started the New Year with a sunrise intention setting session on the beach and a few days later, started a 14-day liver detox. In addition, I have also been to my local urban sweat lodge for regular sweat sessions and picking ip my kundalini yoga practice once again. I used to go to Golden Bridge in Hollywood many years ago after work since I worked so close. I loved it and don't know why I stopped. But I then started going to Bikram yoga, which is a stark contrast from kundalini. I think on a yoga spectrum, they are on opposite sides. Now I am back and I go a couple times a week. Golden Bridge also has a Santa Monica location and it's very convenient. I love the community, the breath work, the mantras and I especially love that each class is very different.
January Detox
My friend and nutritionist, Jen (aka AllieFitFoodie) recommended I do a liver detox to help with all my various skin issues. Several months ago, after a blood test, we found that I had several food allergies and even more respiratory allergies. I've been off of wheat, soy, all nuts, olive oil for almost 3 months and noticed that at least one of my skin issues is greatly improving. The rest remain the same so in an effort to give my skin and body a good shake up, I am giving this cleanse a try. Jen recommended the 14-day liver detox from Rado Nutrition. I'm on day 6 and feeling good. I have 2 shakes a day, 1 meal, supplements and plenty of water. I really haven't been all that hungry since the shakes are so filling and delicious. I've also gotten back to a regular kundalini yoga practice and sweating at an urban sweat lodge. I'm enjoying all the self pampering but also miss my wine!
Delicious pre-packaged shakes
I can eat unlimited amounts of strawberries!
New Year, New Wall Hangings!
It's chilly today in Santa Monica. I have my heat on 70 and sipping on some green tea while I work on a new batch of wall hangings. I'm currently making a large size (14") in light tan suede. I'm not sure what feathers I'll use... I'll just let the dreamcatcher decide when it's time.
